N. Scott Jones, President
CEOs, elected officials and business leaders from around the country have come to respect and rely upon his unique brand of no-nonsense, oft-times colorful style of advice and counsel. He is at home in the boardroom and yet can easily assimilate on the front lines of a company’s stakeholders — with credibility.
Time honored traditions of client loyalty and advocacy have sustained both his career and the client relationships he has enjoyed over the past 20 years. This commitment, passion for his clients’ interests and those who lead these organizations are in his DNA. Consequently, these relationships have endured the test of time and have averaged in excess of seven years.
Scott is renowned for his uncanny ability to bring calm to the middle of crises. Most will cite his ability to remain objective and provide sound judgment and communications counsel during a company’s greatest challenges. Mutual respect develops quickly and he is a fierce advocate for those he serves.
Scott has served three US Presidents and two Texas Governors as staff, as an appointee and as volunteer leader for tasks they have placed upon him. At age 27, he was appointed by Texas Governor W.P. Clements Jr. to the Texas Department of Transportation’s Motor Vehicle Board where he served as Chairman. Some four years later, Texas Governor George W. Bush asked him back to serve as Chairman again, spending a total of nine years as head of that regulatory agency.
